Hours of Remote Sensing

About

My name is Xiaoye Tong. I’m currently doing my PhD in the remote sensing group leaded by Prof. Rasmus Fensholt. During my PhD time, we aim to explain the vegetation dynamics in the Sahel dryland in terms of land use changes. This PhD is funded by both the University of Copenhagen and Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC).

I gradually developed my skills in using Python programming and GRASS GIS under Windows platform to process time series of moderate resolution satellited data, including MODIS, Landsat, PROBA-V. I sometimes wonder it could be good to share the solutions for the data processing, which already took me much time and should save a bit time for the others if they meet similar questions.

It’s now my second year of PhD and  the PhD study is proceeding well currently.  I’m also looking forward to share the results from work in the future!

Thanks to the supports from the team and my country!
